A good [promotional poster](https://llprinters.com/custom-sign-printing-san-diego/) can be an incredibly effective way to promote a product, service, or brand. It can quickly and efficiently convey your message to an interested consumer, using graphics and text to make a strong impression. So what makes a good promotional poster? Contrast is Key You want your poster to stand out and quickly make a strong impression on the average passerby, and the best way to do this is with contrasting colors. You want to find colors that play off each other to create a cohesive image, usually by pitting two different colors against one another. The eye is naturally drawn to contrasting colors, so make sure to incorporate this into your color scheme. ## 2. Make it Easy to Read A promotional poster is not the time to try to cram a bunch of text and images into a small space. You want your poster to be very easy to read, allowing people from near and far to make out all of the important information. A goal should be to make any essential text large and bold so that a person dozens of feet away can understand the essential details. ## 3. Location Location Location You can create the most awe-inspiring poster ever, but if it is hidden in a dark alley, nobody is going to see it. That is why you need to be strategic when deciding where you are going to place your poster. Not only should you place the poster in a high-traffic area, but you also need to consider the atmosphere and environment of the place you are hanging it. For example, if you plan on placing a poster on a yellow wall, you would not want the poster to be yellow, because then it would not stand out. ## 4. Use a Large Image While the text gives needed information, images tell the story. Make a poster with a large image that is eye-catching and aesthetically pleasing. If the image is interesting and dynamic, people will walk up to the poster for a closer look and digest the rest of the essential information.  ## 5. Create a Strong Call-To-Action A call-to-action, also known as a CTA, is where you implore the potential customer to take some kind of action to interact with your business. This could be making a call, sending an email, going to a website, or making a purchase. The whole purpose of a promotional poster is the CTA, so make sure you have a strong and enticing call-to-action.
